If you’re dreaming of a romantic pink wedding in Indiana, Claire and Colton’s October celebration at the Barn at Bayhorse Inn is full of inspiration. With glowing fall sunshine, thoughtful custom details, and an incredible team of Midwest wedding vendors, their day struck the perfect balance between elegant, modern, and warmly romantic.

A Fall Wedding Day in Indiana

Taking place in October 2024, Claire and Colton were treated to one of those rare, perfect Midwest fall days — sunshine, crisp air, and just the right amount of warmth. The Barn at Bayhorse Inn provided a stunning backdrop with its mix of rustic architecture and refined, modern touches, making it an ideal venue for couples planning a barn wedding that still feels upscale and timeless.

Custom Wedding Signage with Pink & Gold Accents

Claire and Colton’s welcome sign and seating chart were designed exclusively for their day by Interprintations, featuring:
Custom laser-cut shapes framing hand-drawn floral artwork
Soft pink hues layered with dimension
3D gold acrylic laser-cut accents that glistened beautifully in the sunlight
These pieces were not only functional but served as true statement décor — one-of-a-kind designs that set the tone for the entire celebration.

Soft, Romantic Florals in White & Blush

The floral design by Duet Floral was delicate and romantic, blending creamy whites with subtle touches of pink. Lush blooms like hydrangeas and roses added fullness while keeping the overall palette light and airy — a perfect complement to an October wedding in Indiana.

An Outdoor Ceremony Under the Pavilion

The ceremony took place outdoors, with the aisle lined by individual floral stems gently placed into the ground, creating an organic and effortless look. Vows were exchanged beneath the venue’s modern pavilion, offering both shade and architectural interest. Overhead, the pavilion’s stunning chandelier added an elevated, almost ballroom-like feel — an ideal choice for couples wanting an outdoor ceremony with refined elegance.

Invitation Design that Set the Tone

The invitation suite played a key role in establishing the romantic mood for the day. Designed by Interprintations, the suite featured:
  • A custom line illustration of the Barn at Bayhorse Inn
  • Delicate coordinating floral artwork
  • Insert cards printed on a mix of soft pink papers
  • White silk ribbon wrapping each suite
  • A dusty mauve monogrammed wax seal
  • Envelopes lined with luxurious mauve velvet
Every detail was carefully considered, offering guests their first glimpse into the elegant, pink-toned celebration to come.

Romantic Tablescapes with Velvet & Candlelight

The reception tables were layered with texture and warmth:
  • Mauve velvet linens from BBJ La Tavola
  • Gold charger plates and flatware
  • Floral centerpieces in varying heights
  • Candlelight scattered throughout in votives and hurricanes
The finishing touch? Elegant menu cards printed with gold foil on ivory cotton cardstock, featuring subtle floral details that tied seamlessly back to the invitation suite.

Your wedding stationery is so much more than an invitation — it’s your guests’ first impression of the celebration to come. Before anyone sees your florals, venue, or gown, they experience your wedding through paper: the weight of the cardstock, the texture of the envelope, the colors and typography that whisper your story.

That’s why custom stationery isn’t just about design — it’s about setting the tone for your entire wedding day.

A First Impression That Lasts

From the moment a guest opens your envelope, they begin to imagine your celebration. The right stationery design instantly conveys your wedding’s aesthetic — whether that’s formal and refined, romantic and whimsical, or modern and minimal.

An elegant letterpress invitation on cotton stock signals timeless luxury. A vellum wrap tied with silk ribbon suggests romance and softness. A bold foil monogram on black matte cardstock promises a chic and sophisticated affair.

Each of these small design choices creates a sense of anticipation — your guests will feel it long before they step into the venue.

Bringing the Big Picture Together

Your stationery should feel like a natural extension of your overall wedding design. When custom pieces align with your venue, florals, attire, and décor, they become part of the visual story.

A garden wedding might pair beautifully with watercolor botanicals and soft deckled edges, while a downtown soirée might call for sleek typography and structured layouts. Even details like the shade of your envelope or the shape of your menu card can reinforce the atmosphere you want to create.

It’s about design continuity — weaving visual threads through every element of your wedding day.

A Reflection of You

Every couple has a story, and custom stationery offers the chance to tell it beautifully.

Your invitations can feature your venue illustration, a crest or monogram inspired by family heritage, or even a hand-painted motif that captures your shared passions — like travel, nature, or architecture.

These thoughtful touches turn your paper goods into keepsakes, not just information pieces. They remind guests (and you) of the heart behind the celebration — your relationship.

Luxury Is in the Details

Luxury stationery isn’t defined by extravagance — it’s defined by intention. The difference lies in the materials, the craftsmanship, and the way every element feels purposeful.

Think textured cotton paper, metallic foils, letterpress impressions, and laser-cut shapes that add depth and artistry. Each detail contributes to the tactile experience — that subtle moment when someone runs their fingers over your invitation and feels the care behind it.

Creating a Seamless Guest Experience

Your stationery also plays a key logistical role. From your Save the Dates to your thank-you cards, every piece guides your guests through your wedding journey with clarity and style.

Consistent design ensures that every mailing — digital or physical — feels cohesive, polished, and effortless.

When done well, custom stationery bridges beauty and function — serving as both art and information.

Bringing It All Together

Your wedding stationery is the bridge between your vision and your guests’ experience. It tells your story before the day arrives, and becomes a keepsake long after it ends.

Whether your aesthetic leans timeless and refined, romantic and organic, or bold and modern, custom design ensures that every detail feels like you — unified, intentional, and unforgettable.

There are weddings… and then there are weddings that feel like stepping into a painting.

Ali & Connor’s celebration at Laurel Hall was the latter—an elegant, heartfelt day filled with intentional design moments and the most beautiful team of Indianapolis wedding vendors bringing their vision to life.

We were honored to design all of their wedding-day paperie, and today we’re thrilled to share a closer look at this stunning event.

A Venue Steeped in Romance: Laurel Hall

With its sweeping staircases, historic architecture, and soft natural light, Laurel Hall set the perfect tone for Ali & Connor’s refined yet warm celebration. The venue’s old-world charm blended seamlessly with the couple’s elevated aesthetic, creating a backdrop that felt timeless, romantic, and effortlessly sophisticated.

A Dream Team of Indianapolis Creatives

Every detail felt cohesive thanks to the thoughtful direction of Bridget Davis Events, who coordinated the day with such grace and vision.
The floral artistry by Satin & Stems brought softness and movement to every vignette—lush blooms, airy arrangements, and organic textures that felt right at home in Laurel Hall’s classic architecture.

Guests enjoyed an exceptional culinary experience crafted by Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering, rounding out a celebration rooted in hospitality and beauty.

The Stationery Story: Thoughtful Details to Elevate the Guest Experience

(Wedding Day Paper designed by Interprintations)

From the beginning, Ali & Connor expressed a love for refined details—classic, elegant, meaningful. Their wedding-day paper goods became a beautiful thread that tied their entire celebration together.

✨ Ornate Die-Cut Menu Cards with Gold Tassels
One of our favorite details from the day:
their ornate die-cut menus, each personalized with the guest’s name and finished with a delicate gold tassel.
These sat at every place setting, adding a luxurious touch that doubled as both décor and a keepsake. The shape, texture, and lettering created a moment guests immediately noticed.

✨ Fine Art Table Numbers With Hand-Sculpted Plaster Florals

These were truly special.
We created white acrylic arch table numbers, each featuring a hand-crafted plaster flower—and no two florals were alike. Each table had its own unique sculptural piece, giving the reception design a fine-art, gallery-like feel. Guests loved discovering the subtle variations from table to table.

✨ Wedding Program Booklets With Silk Chiffon Ribbon
Printed on soft, shimmery cardstock, Ali & Connor’s program booklets showcased their custom monogram crest on the cover.
Each booklet was tied with a flowing silk chiffon ribbon bow, adding movement and a lovely tactile quality as guests held them during the ceremony.

✨ A Draping Fabric Welcome Sign
To greet guests as they arrived, we created a fabric welcome sign that draped beautifully from its stand—soft, elevated, and perfectly in tune with the romantic design of the day.

Design Highlights You’ll Want to Save for Your Own Wedding

Ali & Connor’s aesthetic was all about merging timeless elegance with personal, meaningful details. Some standout moments included:
  • Thoughtful floral styling full of gentle movement
  • Romantic color palette filled with neutrals, greens, and soft tones
  • A reception space that blended modern touches with old-world charm
  • Stationery details that carried their monogram and texture story throughout the entire event
  • Everything felt cohesive, intentional, and undeniably “them.”

Why We Loved This Wedding...

Beyond the visual beauty, Ali & Connor were an absolute joy to work with—kind, decisive, and so trusting of the creative process. Designing for couples like them is why we do what we do.

We also loved this full vendor team, which included...
Venue: Laurel Hall
Planner: Bridget Davis Events
Florist: Satin & Stems
Wedding Day Paperie: Interprintations
Catering: Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering
