There’s something undeniably timeless about a wedding that feels both elegant and deeply personal — and Erin and Michael’s celebration at Laurel Hall captured that balance beautifully.

Inspired by soft East Coast aesthetics and refined coastal details, their wedding day blended dusty blue tones, classic typography, romantic florals, and heirloom-inspired stationery into a design that felt effortlessly sophisticated. From the invitation suite to the seating chart displayed on the wedding day itself, every paper detail was thoughtfully curated to complement the overall atmosphere of the celebration.

A Romantic Invitation Suite with East Coast Elegance

Erin and Michael’s wedding invitation suite embraced a timeless color palette of dusty blue and soft ivory, paired with refined details that immediately set the tone for the celebration to come.

The main invitation was flat printed on Soft Ivory matte cardstock and featured a delicate blind embossed border surrounding the text — a subtle detail that added beautiful texture and dimension without overwhelming the design. At the top of the invitation, we incorporated a custom fine art illustration of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, the church where the couple would exchange vows.

Located in Indianapolis, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church is known for its breathtaking architecture and longstanding presence within the city’s Catholic community. Its traditional design and historic character made it a beautiful focal point within the invitation suite, while also adding meaningful personalization to the overall stationery design.

The details card introduced one of the suite’s signature design elements: soft hand drawn dusty blue florals that carried throughout multiple pieces of the wedding stationery. Printed on an elegant oval die cut shape, the details card added a romantic softness that complemented the classic structure of the invitation suite beautifully.

To tie everything together, those same floral illustrations were incorporated into the envelope liner, creating a cohesive presentation from the very first moment guests opened their invitations.

Select guests also received a separate rehearsal dinner insert card, thoughtfully designed to coordinate seamlessly with the rest of the suite while still maintaining a clean and refined appearance.

Each invitation set was carefully bundled in a chunky Soft White silk ribbon tied into a full bow — one final detail that elevated the presentation and created an unforgettable first impression for guests.

Ceremony Programs Designed for a Traditional Catholic Mass

For the ceremony, we designed full mass booklet programs that mirrored the overall aesthetic of the invitation suite.

The programs featured the same soft ivory paper, dusty blue printing, and custom church illustration carried over from the invitations themselves, helping maintain visual consistency throughout the wedding day. To add a subtle romantic touch, each booklet was embellished with a thin Ivory satin ribbon delicately tied along the folded binding.

The finished programs felt classic, elegant, and perfectly suited for the formality of a traditional Catholic ceremony.

Thoughtful Wedding Day Details

One of the most charming wedding day details was the couple’s custom place cards.

These tented place cards featured a scalloped edge die cut shape paired with small floral accents that varied slightly in color depending on each guest’s selected entrée. Not only did this help catering staff quickly identify meal selections, but it also allowed the escort card display to feel intentional, cohesive, and beautifully styled.

For the seating chart, we designed a custom watercolor monogram crest featuring soft greens and dusty blues inspired by the overall wedding palette. Displayed prominently at the top of the chart, the crest helped tie together the upscale East Coast and Hamptons-inspired aesthetic woven throughout the entire celebration.

The finished piece felt elegant, refined, and perfectly at home within the romantic atmosphere of Laurel Hall.

Timeless Wedding Stationery That Feels Personal

One of the most beautiful aspects of Erin and Michael’s wedding stationery was how cohesive every detail felt from beginning to end.

Rather than relying on fleeting trends, the design focused on timeless elements....
  • elegant typography
  • meaningful artwork
  • soft romantic color palettes
  • luxurious ribbon details
  • classic layouts
The result was a stationery collection that not only complemented the wedding day beautifully, but will continue to feel timeless for years to come.

At the heart of truly memorable wedding stationery is intentionality — creating pieces that feel personal to the couple while still remaining refined, functional, and enduring. Erin and Michael’s wedding was a beautiful example of exactly that.
