Copper and Greenery were the focal elements of this gorgeous wedding at Mavris Arts & Event Center! Marilyn and Larry wanted their wedding day to feel warm and festive, that also complimented the industrial elements inside the historic Mavris building. I had so much fun helping them find the perfect details that reflected their wedding style!

To start the evening off, guests were greeted with these slender wedding ceremony programs that boasted lovely watercolor greenery elements and a geometric copper border. They listed their ceremony order of events on front, with wedding party details and a "thank you" note to guests on the back.

They incorporated fun lighting (hello, beautiful marquee lighting!) to liven up the industrial Mavris space. (Can we pause for a moment to appreciate the views at the Mavris?? I love this downtown wedding venue!)

Their wedding party were dressed in romantic hues to soften the wedding color palette - reds and blushes for the bridesmaids, and navy blue for the gentlemen. Their wedding florals and bouquets featured a similar complimentary color palette.

Guests were guided to their seat by a custom seating chart that was hung from a copper pipe frame. Upon arrival to their tables, guest seats were marked by geometric Copper metallic place cards with custom peony florals laser cut at the top. Their wedding table numbers mimicked this same look - they were laser cut from birch wood, painted in Copper, and featured laser cut peonies around them.

I can't get over how this beautiful metallic copper paint sparkles in the candlelight!

A popular request we see amongst most couples is a signature drink sign with custom watercolor cocktail illustrations. Here's a look at Marilyn and Larry's signature drink sign and selections, in case you need a little inspiration for your wedding day bar signs!

This darling couple has a special place in my heart! I'm so excited to share with you their wedding day in downtown Indianapolis.

Jessica & Ben were another couple that originally planned their nuptials for 2020. As Covid ramped up and placed limits on wedding guest attendance, the couple ultimately changed course. They wanted to ensure they could celebrate their wedding with their full guest list of family and friends.

Their original wedding invitation suite was a traditional pocketfold with a silk ribbon and monogram wax seal closure. The change in wedding plans yielded the need for a new wedding invitation suite altogether. The couple wanted to set this one apart from the original, so we dreamed up something new!

The crown jewel of their custom wedding stationery was their beautiful custom wedding monogram. This was the center of their design focus, with all other pieces following suit. We used their monogram on their custom oval wax seal (stamped in a gorgeous shimmery Pearl colored wax!), as well as at the top of the invitation card itself. We wrapped all of the invitation pieces in a shimmery vellum paper, held closed by a Mauve silk ribbon and that beautiful aformentioned wax seal. It was absolute perfection, and a perfect precursor to the wedding celebration to come.

Both the wedding ceremony and wedding reception took place at The Grand Hall at Historic Union Station in downtown Indianapolis. The day was perfectly planned by the team at Boldly Chic Events. Florals were provided by our talented friend Keatha at Knox Florals.

The bride had a very specific vision for her seating cards - tented cards with guest names printed on front, and their signature Mauve flourish pattern (what we used inside their invitation envelopes!) printed inside. We love how this subtle detail added a hint of Mauve to their seating card table.

Their wedding cake was designed by a local fan favorite, the Cake Bake Shop! We created a laser cut gold mirrored acrylic topper in the couple's custom wedding monogram.

For there guest place settings, we designed a folded menu booklet. The cover featured their monogram, which peeked out of the napkin. The wedding dinner details for the evening's buffet were printed inside.

This couple...I couldn't adore them more! Kasey and Mark work in the medical field, so you could imagine how life pivoted quickly for them in 2020. Not only were they working in the epicenter of the Covid pandemic, they were also smack dab in the middle of planning their wedding. With the tremendous help and guidance from their planner Emily at Emily Ventura Designs, they quickly switched gears to move their wedding to 2021.

This wedding celebration was long in the works, and highly anticipated by their huge guest list of friends and family! They pulled out all the stops to make sure this wedding reception was a memorable one for many years to come.

They set the stage with a custom wedding invitation suite infused with Soft Ivory and Lavender colors, along with Gold metallic accents. Their marble patterned envelope liner kept things unique and fun, with the invitation card itself featuring more traditional calligraphy-inspired fonts and a classic monogram.

The couple made sure to still have fun on their special day, despite mask mandates still being in place due to a rise in Covid cases. I adore them so much!

If you haven't visited the Indianapolis Central Library, it's a beautiful piece of architecture in our historic downtown landscape.

(and if anyone has a wedding coming soon the Indianapolis Central Library, I am dying to do a fun sketch of it! Let's make it happen!)

Guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the south atrium of the library. Their seating assignments were displayed in the form of library cards, alphabetized in a vintage library card catalog cabinet. For a wedding taking place in a historic library, is there any other way to do a seating card display? This is probably my favorite stationery from their big day!

Knox Florals graced every square inch of the library with her gorgeous blooms and arrangements! These marble urns at the front of the library were the inspiration for the couple's wedding invitation envelope liners. It was fitting that they made sure to create focal points in them during cocktail hour. So beautiful!

Guests enjoyed champagne upon their arrival to the wedding reception. Each glass was meticulously placed on a custom boxwood champagne wall and adorned with a gold mirrored acrylic drink stirrer, etched with the couple's modern monogram. Cheers to a beautiful champagne greeting!

One request the couple had for their wedding stationery is that the wedding day details are a smooth transition and mimic the look of the wedding invitations. To do so, we pulled over the same Soft Ivory cotton cardstock and infused plenty of gold metallic details.

Each guest was given a nicely bundled duo of cards at their place setting. The top card featured a lovely lavender shimmer cardstock bookmark with the couple's monogram, with the evening's order of events on the back. A bookmark for a library wedding...how perfect, right? =)

Removing the gold geometric paper clip and monogrammed bookmark revealed a menu card for the evening's dinner details.

Another fun design that came to life for the evening are these garden floral boxes, custom designed and created by Keatha at Knox Florals. (She rents these out, so be sure to get in touch with her if you love them for your special day!)

The four garden floral boxes surrounded the dance floor. To make the dance floor feel more custom, I provided laser cut monograms for the front of each box. These were laser cut from birch wood and were finished with Gold metallic paint. I used 3M strips for easy installation and seamless removal.

I may have been a little teary eyed when this wedding day came and went. shed some tears when this one was over. These two are the sweetest and kindest couple, with the most beautiful wedding vision. They were a dream to work with and we wish them the very best! Congrats, Kasey & Mark!
