indianapolis wedding scottish rite
This downtown Indy affair was complete with romantic and elegant touches of Navy, Gold, and an array of soft neutrals. Annie and Kevin tied the knot in the Fall of 2016 at the eternally gorgeous Scottish Rite Cathedral, immediately followed by a stunning celebration in the Scottish Rite's popular ballroom.
Here are our favorite highlights of A&K's stunning day.....

Indianapolis Wedding Invitations
The newest and hottest way to add a glamourous touch to your wedding invitations is with metallic paper! The most popular papers requested are our Gold and Silver cardstocks in a mirrored finish.
You can add it in so many places - as a backer to a monogram tag, a liner inside the envelope, or backed onto the invitation itself. The options are endless! It's such a great addition to any glam invitation suite, and we don't see this trend fading in 2017...

The evolution of branding and products is paramount to keeping things fresh, interesting, and relevant within a small business.
The last few years (especially this year) have really thrown a wrench in that evolution. Parenthood, building a new home, moving, an overbooked design calendar, and a slew of other personal reasons have really slowed down the creative gears and forward progress....not to mention, slowed my design turnaround and production times. If you've read my most recent blog post, you've noticed that I'll only be taking on a minimal amount of custom weddings for 2017.
Please know that it's only temporary. Designing wedding stationery is still my passion & I very much love what I do!
To fill that void for the near future & while I get my footing back, I've put some focus into one of my longest-standing goals: Opening a brick-and-mortar retail shop.
I've always envisioned having a shop where brides can come and experience our paperie first-hand.
Not only will my signature designs be offered, but I'll also carry a few other brands of ready-to-order wedding paperie, for those clients in a time crunch -or- on a smaller budget. I feel all of these will help offset some of the stresses that arise with being an exclusively-custom online stationery retailer.
I do have a space in mind in the area & am hopeful things will pan out. There's still so much work to be done, that the actual doors to our retail shop still won't be open for quite some time. But I asked myself, why wait to show the world what I've been working on? I'm SO excited about it, and am bursting at the seams to breathe life into it.
Are you ready for our big announcement?
EEEeeeek! That pretty new logo gets me excited every time I look at it! There's a really fun story behind the name, which I plan to fill you in on later. But for now, I'm basking in the glow of this new spin-off brand.
The website is officially LIVE, so take a look!! It's a digital shop for now, with a stand-alone location to come.
After countless hours of branding, curating products, and web design, It feels nice to announce it's grand opening. While it's not yet "perfect" in my eyes (I have so many updates & additions to make), it's done. And as I've been reminding myself a lot lately.....
Done is better than perfect.
The biggest change to our shop - in comparison to our former Etsy shop - is the addition of many other unique product lines. The overall vision of our marketplace is to also offer seasonal and vintage-inspired home decor, gifts, and stationery for everyday life (not just weddings) - all things we're passionate about.
Guess what?

You can still shop our products in-person at one of our upcoming market booths!
We have a handful of markets on our calendar over the next few months, and will share those with you on our Facebook page as they draw near. We hope you'll stop by and say hello! First up....
Are you as excited as we are? We really hope so! If you stop by the online shop this week & see something you LOVE, be sure to use the coupon code GRANDOPENING for 10% off your purchase.
The small businesses in our communities couldn't thrive without your support, so we THANK YOU from the bottom of our stationery-loving, farmhouse-living hearts. Enjoy our newest endeavor & we hope to see your smiling face at one of our booths (and retail location) soon!
Much love,
I’m a country girl, small business owner, wife, mother of three, and a proud alumna of Purdue University (Boiler Up!).
Wondering what life is like for a busy mom with a graphic design & laser cutting business? My days are filled with pretty paper, blissful brides, half-finished sketchbooks, half-eaten lunches, and lots of cuddling with my little ones. I look forward to sharing with you all of life's fun happenings (both in & out of the studio) here on the blog!
