Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Mill Top is a 140-year-old converted flour mill, and a true gem of a venue located in central Indiana. The Mill Top lends it’s beautiful exposed brick walls, wrought iron railings, and original harwood floors as a perfect backdrop for any wedding or event. This past Spring, we created custom wedding invitations and wedding day stationery for a lovely day held at this historic spot.

Aren't these two so adorable?? They're dancing in front of their soon-to-be ceremony space, with complimentary wall lights provided by The Mill Top and floral accents by Carolyn at A Blossom Collective. Carolyn created the most beautiful balance of greenery and mauve pink florals throughout their special day. The florals carried through the entire day cohesively, with the bride's bouquet featuring many of the florals used in the ceremony backdrop. In a sea of traditional Midwest wedding trends, I love that this local Indiana florist isn't afraid of texture and a more romantic, natural floral arranging and bouquet style!

The bride's flawless makeup and hair updo were done by Melissa at Something Blue Stylists, with her dress and accessories courtesy of Trudie's Bridal and Formal Wear. The groom is also sporting some fashionable menswear from Trudie's! (We don't blame them from getting all of their apparel in one stop, Trudie's bridal store offers so many options!)

The couple's wedding invitation was a clear acrylic card with mauve paint, and featured custom spot calligraphy contributed by Megan at Painted Letter Co. The clear acrylic invitation helped set a modern tone for the wedding, while the mauve pink floral envelope liner pulled in soft and subtle details to the overall invitation suite.

Isn't this custom cake absolute perfection?? The marbled, painted look and various color tones of each layer were even prettier in person. Not to mention, this luscious overabundance of roses takes this cake's elegance over the top. The cake was provided by Nakia at Fork and Function, with the florals by A Blossom Collective.

The cake sits atop a vintage barrel, provided by the venue. In lieu of a cake topper (I mean, who would want to distract from those florals??), we provided the clients with a custom laser cut wooden "R" monogram to display with the cake table's florals.

The reception space was nothing short of amazing - with bare wooden tables, luxurious fabric table runners, lots of greenery, candlelight everywhere, and SO many roses, the wedding reception tables themselves were a sight to see! Carolyn at A Blossom Collective knocked it out of the park again, with the help of Nakia at Fork and Function and her incredible event styling skills.

For the menus, we borrowed a touch more spot calligraphy from Megan at Painted Letter Co. (we just adore her work!), and finished them off with blush pink silk ribbon bows tied at the top. They dressed up each guest's place setting and accented the tables' floral hues perfectly.

If you're looking for a unique venue in the central Indiana area, we highly recommend checking out The Mill Top! Wishing our clients the best & sending them a big congratulations! Enjoy newlywed life!

Yesterday was the monthly Perfect Wedding Guide Networking Luncheon, held at the always gorgeous wedding barn at Mustard Seed Gardens in Noblesville.

With their picture perfect barn and it’s beautiful chandeliers, along with it’s serene tree-lined farmland setting, Mustard Seed Gardens has the perfect venue for a fall wedding (or networking event, in this case). They were so gracious to offer to host the event for local wedding professionals to network & dine together.

Bethany at Mustard Seed Gardens has an incredible eye for style, as she spearheaded the planning and preparation for the event. I always enjoy working with her, she has the best ideas! She selected birchwood farm tables with a natural finish, along with a few cashmere velvet covered round tables to fill the space. Chrissy from Special Occasions provided the most darling bud vases and simple florals, mixed amongst gold mercury glass votive holders, which were a beautiful pairing with this event’s modern rustic style.

We can’t forget to mention all of the place setting details, where A Classic Party Rental brought their A game (per usual!). Each guest’s place setting featured clear plates and gold metallic silverware. Atop the clear plate rested a cashmere colored napkins to correspond with the round table linens.

Interprintations sponsored the stationery for the event, with custom laser cut menu cards polishing off each place setting. I knew that I wanted to provide something less main stream and a little more custom, since these paper elements would be seen by so many of my peers. I know they would appreciate these intricate and high-end menu cards the most! Our favorite design element is the ornate detailing around the menu, which is accented by the laser cut shape.

Interprintations also provided the miscellaneous event signage enjoyed by guests – a perfect addition to dress up the bar area, champagne wall, and dessert table. It was an honor to provide this pretty paperie to brighten and inspire our wedding professional colleagues’ day!

Stewart Imagery was so kind to offer her time and talents to photograph the event. I always enjoy seeing her work, and this time around did not disappoint. Not to mention, she turned around the photo gallery to all of the sponsors within less than a day! What a nice surprise to receive these in my inbox so quickly. Thanks so much to Stewart Imagery for capturing all of the event details so beautifully.

Last, but certainly not least, was the (from what I've heard) delicious appetizers, lunch and desserts provided by Mills Catering. They're a catering staple in the Indianapolis wedding industry and have been around for years. They have a reputation for great reason - their food is just so scrumptious!

I have to say, I am SO sad I had to miss this incredible outing with my fellow Indianapolis wedding professionals. While I had purchased a ticket to the event, my childcare arrangements fell through & I ultimately wasn’t able to attend. I was so bummed! I had been looking forward to this one for a while. This “momprenuer” small business owner doesn’t get out much for adult interaction (or an adult beverage) very often…these networking events are always such a nice break for those of us with small businesses in the wedding industry.  A big thank you to Tammy at Perfect Wedding Guide for coordinating these events, and I look forward to making it to the next one at Daniel’s Vineyard!

If you are considering a wedding color palette of Blush Pink, Ivory and Gold, you absolutely cannot go wrong. It’s a gorgeous wedding color scheme! This soft blend of wedding colors is incredibly romantic and perfect for a big city wedding.

Today we’re sharing a few recaps of Sarah & Eric’s wedding day, one of our 2018 couples. Their wedding took place on a sunny Fall day in Indianapolis. The wedding day began with a beautiful full mass Catholic ceremony at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, followed by a cocktail hour and dinner reception at The Conrad in downtown Indianapolis.

This captivating and special day was pulled together seamlessly by our favorite Indianapolis / Carmel wedding planner team at Boldly Chic Events. Their impeccable style and wedding planning experience is unmatched in the Indianapolis area.

As you scroll through the photos, we also have to give big props to one of our favorite Indianapolis florists – Isibeal Studio! Isn’t Autumn at Isibeal Studio so talented?? Sarah’s bouquet, the sweet little boutonnieres, and the wedding reception table centerpieces are all incredible works of floral art!

For the bride and groom’s nuptials, we designed a folded ceremony program booklet in shimmery blush pink cardstock, in addition to gold foil ink printing on the cover. Inside, the program included four pages of text, allowing the couple to communicate to guests all of the details involved in their full mass wedding ceremony. This also allowed for many other details, including the wedding party names, reception details, and a note from the newlyweds. To finish off the ceremony booklet’s elegant look, a lush ivory satin ribbon held the folded booklet card together.

Once there ceremony finished, guests made their way to downtown Indianapolis, where the evening began with a cocktail hour at The Conrad. Guests enjoyed delicious cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and delectable cake pops from Vanilla Bean Bakery. The wedding cake pops also doubled as escort cards, as they each held a custom die cut tag, personalized with each guest’s name and table number assignment.

Guests then made their way into The Conrad’s ballroom for an evening of dinner and dancing. Upon entering The Conrad’s grand ballroom (a stunning event space in itself), Sarah and Eric’s wedding guests were wowed by the beautiful tablescape designs – a collaboration of Isibeal Studio and the Boldly Chic Events wedding planning team.

Guests then dined on a duet plate of stuffed chicken breast and bourbon maple braised short ribs, alongside garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus and carrots. The in-house catering at The Conrad is always on point!

When guests arrived at their assigned tables, each place setting had a custom die cut menu card tucked into their napkins. Each elegant menu card featured the couple’s custom monogram, thin border detail, and elegant fonts to coordinate with their other wedding stationery pieces – all printed on a thick and luxurious metallic Ivory cardstock.

Another fun detail that the couple incorporated into their wedding reception was their love for Jack’s Donuts! For an after-dinner snack, the couple created a donut bar, complete with a variety of iced and glazed donuts, floral accents by Isibeal Studio, a calligraphy sign created by Painted Letter Co, and small  printed signs designed by Interprintations.

The wedding cake was also a lovely addition to the wedding reception décor itself, as this edible work of art mimicked the brides dress ruffles and the couple’s overall soft, romantic wedding style. The cake was designed and created by the talented baking team at Classic Cakes.
