These two. I cannot describe to you how much I adore this couple and this picture perfect wedding day. Christina & Douglas were absolute dream clients!
They had a very specific design aesthetic, of which they communicated and accomplished perfectly through their custom wedding day paper items. Below are some of our favorite highlights from their snowy November wedding day in Downtown Indianapolis.
I especially love how Christina wasn't hesitant to incorporate subtle seasonal colors up next to her opulent Green and White florals and wedding decor. The bridesmaids wore lush velvet dresses in a rich Wine hue, and her bridal bouquet included the most subtle Wine tones to coordinate. What a stunning bridal party!
And what is a wedding day without your sweet pup included in the festivities? While he wasn't able to attend the actual wedding events, I love that they made sure to include George (their beloved dog) in some snuggly and snowy family photos during their pre-ceremony photo session outdoors.

Christina and Douglas tied the knot at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a Full Mass ceremony. If you know me, you know I'm a bit of a history buff! So I had to share these fun tidbits of this beautiful and historical church we have here in our city...
In 1875, Sacred Heart was established as the only German-speaking parish in Downtown Indianapolis. They now maintain the city's second oldest, active Catholic church building. I especially love their story of resilience - following a devastating fire in the Spring of 2021, church parishoners set a goal to return the historic interior its original appearance prior to devastation by fire. While this may have been more costly, preserving it's cherished history was of upmost importance. This detailed restoration project involved the replication of four, turn-of-the-century sanctuary windows originally (created by Franz Mayer of Munich), the conservation of 14 nave windows, the replication of eleven murals and the decorative historic interior painting throughout the church. This historical landmark has the most stunning old-world architectural style, which boasts a level of craftsmanship and detail that you simply cannot find in newer churches. If you ever have the distinct pleasure of attending a church service or event at this venue, be sure to pause and soak in all of it's beauty and history.
It's not a "grand exit" without a little something extra thrown in! Christina and Douglas' wedding party, family and friends tossed white rose petals as the happy couple made their exit from the ceremony. Not only does this set the tone for the fun festivities to come, it also makes for the coolest photos!
The happy couple chose to celebrate their wedding nuptials with a cocktail hour and dinner reception at the Central Library. Here, they pulled in more of the rich Mauve and Wine hues into their table liens and wedding table floral centerpieces. The centerpieces varying in styles and heights to add plenty of depth and dimension to the wedding reception layout.
Guests were guided to their seats via a gorgeous frosted acrylic seating chart (not pictured) with the couple's custom monogram at the top. They were able to find their individual seats via the softest Sage Green place cards. We especially loved that the couple chose to incorporate Rose Gold foil details into their wedding day paper pieces, to add a subtle dash of elegance and flair.
Their bar signs featured their chosen signature drinks for the evening, with custom cocktail sketches included. The groom selected an Old Fashioned for recommended drink of choice for the evening, while the Bride selected a classic Gin + Tonic. George, their sweet dog, was even featured on their custom beverage napkins. So cute!
The couple tucked their custom wedding menus into Mauve satin napkins. The menus were printed on the same Soft Sage Green paper used for their place cards, and featured their custom monogram at the top (along with that gorgeous Rose Gold Foil detailing). The florist tucked in a sprig of greenery into the napkin to dress up the place setting.
Their table numbers also mirrored the paper and printing used on their ceremony programs, menus and place cards. The table numbers were displayed in short Rose Gold card holders, so as not to compete with the height of their lovely centerpiece floral arrangements.
I've loved looking through Christina & Douglas' wedding photos, as I don't often get to see clients' events in person! When Christina sent me this link, I literally squealed with delight. This wedding day was absolute perfection. This couple is the sweetest and we are wishing them the happiest of happily ever afters! Cheers and congratulations, Christina & Douglas!
