This couple...I couldn't adore them more! Kasey and Mark work in the medical field, so you could imagine how life pivoted quickly for them in 2020. Not only were they working in the epicenter of the Covid pandemic, they were also smack dab in the middle of planning their wedding. With the tremendous help and guidance from their planner Emily at Emily Ventura Designs, they quickly switched gears to move their wedding to 2021.
This wedding celebration was long in the works, and highly anticipated by their huge guest list of friends and family! They pulled out all the stops to make sure this wedding reception was a memorable one for many years to come.
They set the stage with a custom wedding invitation suite infused with Soft Ivory and Lavender colors, along with Gold metallic accents. Their marble patterned envelope liner kept things unique and fun, with the invitation card itself featuring more traditional calligraphy-inspired fonts and a classic monogram.
The couple made sure to still have fun on their special day, despite mask mandates still being in place due to a rise in Covid cases. I adore them so much!
If you haven't visited the Indianapolis Central Library, it's a beautiful piece of architecture in our historic downtown landscape.
(and if anyone has a wedding coming soon the Indianapolis Central Library, I am dying to do a fun sketch of it! Let's make it happen!)

Guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the south atrium of the library. Their seating assignments were displayed in the form of library cards, alphabetized in a vintage library card catalog cabinet. For a wedding taking place in a historic library, is there any other way to do a seating card display? This is probably my favorite stationery from their big day!
Knox Florals graced every square inch of the library with her gorgeous blooms and arrangements! These marble urns at the front of the library were the inspiration for the couple's wedding invitation envelope liners. It was fitting that they made sure to create focal points in them during cocktail hour. So beautiful!
Guests enjoyed champagne upon their arrival to the wedding reception. Each glass was meticulously placed on a custom boxwood champagne wall and adorned with a gold mirrored acrylic drink stirrer, etched with the couple's modern monogram. Cheers to a beautiful champagne greeting!
One request the couple had for their wedding stationery is that the wedding day details are a smooth transition and mimic the look of the wedding invitations. To do so, we pulled over the same Soft Ivory cotton cardstock and infused plenty of gold metallic details.
Each guest was given a nicely bundled duo of cards at their place setting. The top card featured a lovely lavender shimmer cardstock bookmark with the couple's monogram, with the evening's order of events on the back. A bookmark for a library wedding...how perfect, right? =)
Removing the gold geometric paper clip and monogrammed bookmark revealed a menu card for the evening's dinner details.
Another fun design that came to life for the evening are these garden floral boxes, custom designed and created by Keatha at Knox Florals. (She rents these out, so be sure to get in touch with her if you love them for your special day!)
The four garden floral boxes surrounded the dance floor. To make the dance floor feel more custom, I provided laser cut monograms for the front of each box. These were laser cut from birch wood and were finished with Gold metallic paint. I used 3M strips for easy installation and seamless removal.
I may have been a little teary eyed when this wedding day came and went. shed some tears when this one was over. These two are the sweetest and kindest couple, with the most beautiful wedding vision. They were a dream to work with and we wish them the very best! Congrats, Kasey & Mark!

I’m a country girl, small business owner, wife, mother of three, and a proud alumna of Purdue University (Boiler Up!).
Wondering what life is like for a busy mom with a graphic design & laser cutting business? My days are filled with pretty paper, blissful brides, half-finished sketchbooks, half-eaten lunches, and lots of cuddling with my little ones. I look forward to sharing with you all of life's fun happenings (both in & out of the studio) here on the blog!
