This black and white modern wedding day is definitely one for the books! Today's blog is a full look book featuring this bride and groom's gorgeous wedding details, breathtaking Indianapolis wedding venue, wedding flowers, and perfect Fall wedding weather. It all came together for a perfect wedding medley for our clients, Kaley and Mitch.
Their wedding ceremony and wedding reception both took place at Indianapolis' own Black Iris Estate (with catering and venue coordination by Thomas Caterers). The wedding day itself was coordinated by Sarah at Plum & Poppy Events. Below are some of our favorite wedding photos of Kaley and Mitch's wedding day, featuring the wedding photography work of Wandering Heart Photography.
For their custom wedding invitations, we incorporated Black, White and Antique Gold. Their wedding invitation cards were printed on a classic Black matte cardstock, with White Ink offset printing. Their response cards featured fun and casual reply options, such as "we can't wait!" and "sadly, we can't make it." The response cards were accompanied by Antique Gold shimmer envelopes. Small black matte cards directed guests to Kaley & Mitch's wedding website for additional wedding details. To finish off the invitation set, all cards were stacked together and placed into a modern Gold teardrop-shaped paper clip. Our favorite feature of their custom wedding invitations was the wedding invitation orientation - a tea length 10# size card, gearing away from the traditional 5x7 A7 size invitation card.
To welcome guests to the wedding reception, Kaley had a very specific vision for her wedding signs. She selected a duo of acrylic signs, one in glossy Black acrylic & one in Frosted White acrylic. The set of acrylic signs stacked perfectly next to each other, welcoming guests and inviting them to enjoy champagne before the nuptials.
The bride and groom fell in love with the custom monogram we created for their wedding invitations, so we continued to carry the monogram throughout all of their other wedding details. To start, we laser cut them out of Gold mirrored acrylic and placed them atop their champagne boxwood wall at the ceremony entrance for champagne hour. I just love how the Gold mirrored acrylic letters catch the sunlight and accent the fall foliage colors perfectly!
The crystal chandeliers in Black Iris Estate's ballroom add the prettiest lighting and elegant details to wedding receptions held here. The couple wanted to make sure their decor paired well with the aesthetic inside the wedding venue's ballroom, so we incorporated frosted acrylic elements, Gold mirrored acrylic elements, and menu cards that featured White, Black, and Gold Foil printing.
The menu cards played two parts - the menu text is printed on the black card, but is hidden by a white card with a Gold Foil monogram. On the reverse side of the white card is a list of the evening's Order of Events. We love how thoughtful Kaley and Mitch were, especially in wanting to keeps their guests informed of all of the evening's upcoming events. This little bundle of cards were held together with the same teardrop geometric Gold paper clips used in their wedding invitations. (A streamlined aesthetic was very important to the bride and groom!)
These table numbers were so fun to create for the wedding reception! The backer and base are laser cut frosted white acrylic, and the numbers are laser cut Gold mirrored acrylic. They blend and pair so well with the couple's chosen wedding reception table decor, gold utensils, and tabletop floral centerpieces.
This was a wedding that will forever be one of our favorites. These two have the prettiest style and the kindest hearts. We wish them the best & a fairytale "happily ever after!"
