Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Mill Top is a 140-year-old converted flour mill, and a true gem of a venue located in central Indiana. The Mill Top lends it’s beautiful exposed brick walls, wrought iron railings, and original harwood floors as a perfect backdrop for any wedding or event. This past Spring, we created custom wedding invitations and wedding day stationery for a lovely day held at this historic spot.

Aren't these two so adorable?? They're dancing in front of their soon-to-be ceremony space, with complimentary wall lights provided by The Mill Top and floral accents by Carolyn at A Blossom Collective. Carolyn created the most beautiful balance of greenery and mauve pink florals throughout their special day. The florals carried through the entire day cohesively, with the bride's bouquet featuring many of the florals used in the ceremony backdrop. In a sea of traditional Midwest wedding trends, I love that this local Indiana florist isn't afraid of texture and a more romantic, natural floral arranging and bouquet style!

The bride's flawless makeup and hair updo were done by Melissa at Something Blue Stylists, with her dress and accessories courtesy of Trudie's Bridal and Formal Wear. The groom is also sporting some fashionable menswear from Trudie's! (We don't blame them from getting all of their apparel in one stop, Trudie's bridal store offers so many options!)

The couple's wedding invitation was a clear acrylic card with mauve paint, and featured custom spot calligraphy contributed by Megan at Painted Letter Co. The clear acrylic invitation helped set a modern tone for the wedding, while the mauve pink floral envelope liner pulled in soft and subtle details to the overall invitation suite.

Isn't this custom cake absolute perfection?? The marbled, painted look and various color tones of each layer were even prettier in person. Not to mention, this luscious overabundance of roses takes this cake's elegance over the top. The cake was provided by Nakia at Fork and Function, with the florals by A Blossom Collective.

The cake sits atop a vintage barrel, provided by the venue. In lieu of a cake topper (I mean, who would want to distract from those florals??), we provided the clients with a custom laser cut wooden "R" monogram to display with the cake table's florals.

The reception space was nothing short of amazing - with bare wooden tables, luxurious fabric table runners, lots of greenery, candlelight everywhere, and SO many roses, the wedding reception tables themselves were a sight to see! Carolyn at A Blossom Collective knocked it out of the park again, with the help of Nakia at Fork and Function and her incredible event styling skills.

For the menus, we borrowed a touch more spot calligraphy from Megan at Painted Letter Co. (we just adore her work!), and finished them off with blush pink silk ribbon bows tied at the top. They dressed up each guest's place setting and accented the tables' floral hues perfectly.

If you're looking for a unique venue in the central Indiana area, we highly recommend checking out The Mill Top! Wishing our clients the best & sending them a big congratulations! Enjoy newlywed life!
